FICARE 2009

FICARE 2009 conferenceAs with the first International Forum on Rectal cancer Management I was fortunate enough to be part of the faculty of world leaders in the field of rectal cancer management. This is the second meeting on rectal cancer management in Sao Paolo and was inspired by Professor Angelita Habr-Gama. There were lively debates on all aspects of rectal cancer management and the multidisciplinary aspect of this meeting led to some interesting new approaches. I am fortunate to work in Colchester as part of a team able to offer some of the most cutting edge treatments and support for this condition. I am applying for approval of a study of non operative treatment for rectal cancer in certain patients where the disease may be cured by chemotherapy and radiotherapy alone. Watch this space
